On Sunday 22nd April, Sean Newman ran the London Marathon to raise money for Carers of Barking & Dagenham. He successfully overcame the grueling 26.2 miles to raise awareness of Young Carers.
Sean has said this to say about why he has chosen our charity:
"This charity means a lot to my family and I - I volunteered for the charity for a number of years and my mum has worked for the charity for over 10 years. They do amazing work in the borough to provide advice, support and information for people who care - whatever age they are. The Young Carers project in-particular is one which I've worked closely with and have first hand seen the help it can provide to the local community."
You can still sponsor Sean to help him reach his target of £500, which will provide some fantastic respite actvities for our Young Carers. To sponsor Sean simply click HERE.
Well done Sean and thank you so much for your support!!!
