Supporting Those Who Care: Understanding the Role and Needs of Family Carers - Healthwatch Survey
Do you help someone with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, care or support? Are you a family carer living in Barking and Dagenham?
We want to hear from you.
Family carers play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of their loved ones, often bringing deep insight into their needs, preferences, and behaviours. However, feedback shows that carers are not always involved or supported by health and care professionals.
This survey is part of a wider project aiming to understand carers’ experiences during medical appointments, explore how well health and care professionals involve and support carers, and identify what can be improved, including the use of tools like Hospital Passports.
Your feedback will help shape future services and ensure carers’ voices are heard.
All responses are confidential, and findings will contribute to a report with practical recommendations.
